Pizza lovers can now enjoy pizza and movie in a package as Pizza Hut in Hong Kong is transforming its pizza boxes into film projectors. In its efforts to streamline its operation in an innovative way, Pizza Hut is now serving the so-called "The Blockbuster Box" in selected locations in Hong Kong.

Ogily & Mather HK created an ad on the cardboard pizza box that instantly changes into a film projector, based on the report of The Verge.

The ad agency Ogily and Mather Group's Chief Creative Officer Reed Collins considers The Blockbuster Box as their brainchild, Gizmodo reported. It is said that this move takes the traditional pairing of pizza and a movie to the upper level as a projector lens is already included in every pizza order that fits into a punch-out hole, just in front of the box.

The Verge said that the most interesting part of the box is it comes with a QR code, in which, customers can use to download digital movie.

As the customers can select their favorite toppings, cheese, crust and sauce, they can also choose one out of the four distinct boxes; however, the device is still the same, regardless of the design they choose. Pizza Hut believes that it is fun to decide which box to choose that would best suit the style of film the customers want to watch.

According to The Verge, the projector box needs a well-working smartphone. The smartphone will be used to scan the QR code on the side of the box, which comes into four types: Anchovy Armageddon for sci-fi, Fully Loaded for action thrillers, Slice Night for horror movie and Hot and Ready for romance. It is easy to place the smartphone on a stand in the middle of the box as it will be projected by the lens onto the screen or even on a blank wall.

Unfortunately, the said Pizza Hut product is only available in Hong Kong. There is no news on whether or not The Blockbuster Box will be available to other countries, but it is difficult to think that this idea is being limited to just one city.
