It is not easy to choose the right smartphone, especially when there are so many choices and each model is different from the others and has unique features. Some consumers want a camera with real photographic results; others want long battery life, fast processors and wide screen.

The Asus ZenFone 2 seems to be a good budget phone with higher RAM and latest specs; however, the whale-sized Nexus 6 from Google gives serious rivalry, Android Headlines reported.

Beginning with the design, the ZenFone 2 has full metal body that gives it a curved back and a premium look. It also has a Gorilla Glass coating that will keep friction to least when using the smartphone, according to GSMinsider. Whilst, the Nexus 6 phone has a curved plastic back and aluminium frame, which let users to easily held the device. The Nexus 6 is also smooth, which means it could easily slip off the user's hand.

In regards to their displays, Zenfone has 70.1 percent screen-to-body ratio with its 5.5 inch IPS screen, it is also equipped with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution at 403 pixels per inch density. On the other hand, the Nexus 6 has 5.96 inches AMOLED screen with 74.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. It sports 1440 x 2560 pixels at 493 per inch density.

According to GSMinsider, platforms are important consideration in choosing which phone to buy, the ZenFone 2 has Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset and Adreno 420 GPU while Nexus 6 boasts the same specs. ZenFone will be sold with 2GB or 4GB, while Nexus 6 will be with 3GB of RAM.

One advantage of ZenFone 2 from Nexus 6 is the microSD card slot, Nexus 6 doesn't have one while ZenFone  has up to 64 GB external storage.

Both smartphones have the same 16 megapixel rear camera, and as for the price, 2 GB RAM ZenFone 2 is sold at $199 without a contract, while Nexus 6 is at $249 with a two year contract.
