Sony brings minor improvements in their Xperia Z4, as compared to Xperia Z3 last year, and currently the company made its Xperia Z3+ for global markets. Regardless of its name, the smartphone is going to get a stiff rivalry from LG which released a rebranded flagship phone - the G4.

Comparing the design of Xperia Z4 and LG G4, it is clear that Sony wanted to maintain its tried and tested formula, so comes with glass on its front and back panel. Xperia Z4's frame is crafted from metal , although it shines more and it has rounded corners for protection, Android Headlines reported. As for the LG G4, its body is plastic, so it does not seem premium. Moreover, it has a "Slimarc" curve which extends from top to bottom that serves as the screen protector in case the users drop it. The device's back panel has polycarbonate pattern and users can also choose to purchase dyed leather panels in a switchable variety of colors.

PC Advisor said that as for the display size, the Xperia Z4 is smaller than LG G4, as it only has 5.2 inches IPS LCD with 1890x1920 pixel resolution at 424 pixels per inch density while LG G4 has better quality as it has 5.5 inches IPS LCD with 1440 x 2560 pixels at 538 pixels per inch density.

Since LG does not want to use the current Snapdragon 810 chipset on their latest flagship phone, the gadget is not as powerful as Xperia Z4. Instead, the G4 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset with two Cortex-A57 and hexa-core CPU, it has four Cortext-A53 cores clocked at 1.44 GHz, 1.82 Ghz speed and an Adreno 418 GPU. Xperia Z4 is faster as it uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, which is powered by octa-core processor. The memory slots on both devices can support up to 128 GB of external storage with 3GB of RAM.

According to PC Advisor, the camera on the G4 is 16 megapixel while Xperia Z4 has 20.7 megapixel; however, it does not have an optical image stabilizer, which G4 has.

Finally, for the price, Sony Xperia Z4 will debut as the Xperia Z3+ in the United States and expected to cost $199 and G4 has the same price tag. 

So, which smartphone wins? It depends on what the buyers look for a phone as Z4 looks more powerful but LG G4 seems a good option if they need comfort and general style.
