The new Twitter shopping update will make it easier for users to pick their favorite products through the microblogging portal as the makers confirm that they are testing new product placement pages options.

In line with its motive to drive more e-commerce to its pages, Twitter has announced that it is already testing product and place pages that will facilitate the users with a better shopping experience.

According to USA Today, the new feature will host tweets on pages that have been dedicated to display images of the product. The page will also allow video posts about the product. Additionally, the page will also display links that will take users to the original shopping website, allowing them to buy whatever they like. The move by Twitter comes soon after a San Francisco-based company surprised the users across the region by adding a buy button to its tweets.

Another report on NBC News said that the new version of Twitter will gather information about product or places from across the portal and accordingly develop the product page. The new version will also allow users to share experiences, and in turn, allow them to play influencers. As of now, the new version will be launching with a selection of 41 brands and individuals. The participating names include Disney Store and Hallmark as well as stylist Rachel Zoe and YouTube star and makeup guru Michelle Phan.

Even Demi Lovato could be offering a selection of books and clothes, as part of this association. Nike will also be showcasing a selection of LeBron James clothing and footwear, exclusively for Twitter users. The new feature will also include a buy button prompting users to make the purchase if they like the product.

The collections created by celebrities or brands like Lovato or the Games of Thrones series will be available as part of this new update by Twitter. Meanwhile, Twitter cited the example of the book "The Martian," where they had compiled the tweets from the publishers, authors and readers, along with a button to directly download.
