The Copa Americas favorites Argentina aren't convincingly living up to expectations. As the 2014 World Cup runner-up to Champions Germany, the team must a lot to show during this tournament.
Argentina hasn't been performing well in their past fixtures but they nevertheless maintained their spot at the top of Group B. Yet, winning the game are the only thing important for them even their performance weren't quite amusing. With a lot of firepower playing on their squad, no doubt they will be the team tipped to advance to the quarterfinals and still has the chance to fight for the 2015 Copa America Title.

Last match against Uruguay minus their ace Luis Suarez were believed the hardest team to beat in Group B, even though Lionel Messi and his national team Argentina successfully defeated their South American nemesis in a highly-competitive ball-game with a score-line of only 1-0, all thanks to the heroics of Sergio Aguero.
Now, Tata Martino's side is pretty confident they could win the game and secure their spot in the Quarterfinals of Copa America. Argentina's confidence heading into the match with Jamaica was as evident as full-back Marco Rojo's wry smile before the start of the game. However, the so-called Reggae Boys were ready to put up a strong fight against the elite's of the South America, refusing to surrender an easy ticket to the quarters.
Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria and Messi led the initial attack in the first few minutes of the game, spearheading the possession of the ball. Just 11 minutes into the first half, Di Maria found his teammate Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain inside the penalty box. The former Real Madrid striker turned and incredibly found the back of the net using a low shot. Higuain got another chance several minutes later but it bounced off the top of the bar.
In the second half, Di Maria and Messi once again teamed up to give their squad a fair share of chances of making goals. Unfortunately, none of their plays resulted to a conversion, giving Jamaica a hope to score the equalizer down the stretch.
In the end, Argentina defense stood firm to preserve a 1-0 win in Messi's 100th game with his national team. Di Maria, meanwhile, was declared the Man of the Match as he provided the brightest attacking spark and the assist for Higuain's game-winner, per BBC Sports.
