With Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert having a bad season at Anfiled last year, Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to land a prolific striker this summer transfer window, according to Express.co.uk

Liverpool FC is ready to throw a huge cash to land Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca and Juventus striker Fernando Llorente. The Guardian indicated that both Carlos Bacca and Fernando Llorente are on his list, as the Reds are in-need of a reliable striker capable of filling the role left void by Luis Suarez when the Uruguayan departed to Barcelona FC last summer.

Llorente carved a reputation as a pretty good striker during his time playing at Athletic Bilbao before he went to Italian side Juventus. With an experience Carlos Tevez and a rising star Alvaro Morata (on loan from Real Madrid), Llorente played a limited role last season at Juventus but nevertheless tallied nine goals in all competitions during his 2014-15 campaign.

With Juventus reportedly targeting Atletico De Madrid forward Mario Mandzukic and Palermo striker Paulo Dybala, Llorente's spot is once again threatened.  However, there might be hope for Llorente in Turin with Argentine striker Carlos Tevez set to leave this summer. The departure of Tevez would mean he might have a shot at securing the starting central role for Juventus, which is asking a hefty €20 million price tag for Llorente's release.

On the other hand, Bacca had a solid outing on the La Liga side Sevilla during their 2014-15 campaign, tallying 20 goals only in La Liga and adding eight more in other cups via ESPN FC - including the club's successful Europa League campaign.

Colombia's striker has been performing pretty well these past few seasons that several clubs including Manchester United have taken notice of his improvement. Bacca mentioned that playing at Old Trafford is one of dreams, but it was the Red Devils' rivals Liverpool that is more determined to acquire him.

However, Sevilla isn't letting the striker walk away that easily. According to sources, Sevilla placed a €30 million transfer fee on Bacca. Apparently, for Liverpool to get their hands on the Colombian, the Reds top boss would need to dig deep into their budget in order to get one of the most promising strikers in Europe today.
