The survey conducted reported that Chinese people are getting bigger despite the fact that there are lots of diet plans being offered left and right. China is next to United States having 62 million overweight.
An entrepreneur for 30 years owning a restaurant located in Chengdu of Southwest China, Sichuan Province named Bian Ke said that the changing and developing tastes of patrons are the main reason why Chinese are getting obese.

"Up-market food, such as goose liver, is a symbol of high living and opulence," he further said. "However, they are not paying attention to the amount of protein they take in."
The traditional ingredients like duck and chicken are being changed to imported steaks and lobster which is why people are now "pot-bellied" Bian Ke said to Xinhuanet.
According to Reader's Digest, someone's soda habit can make him fat. In a study conducted someone who consumes two or more diet sodas a day can increase waist size to even six times compare to people who don't drink diet sodas. You might think that these sodas are zero calories, but take note that they are not free from other consequences.
Another factor that can increase weight is the person's lack of sleep. From new research it is reported that sleepless nights won't just makes you irritated the next day, but could damage the shape of your waistline too. Do you know that the room's temperature can also affect your waistline? Lower the temperature of your thermostat because high temperature can make you fat. Cozy living will somehow contribute to weight gain.
In case of China, Chinese people love the changes and they adapt easily to what is new in terms of foods being served to them. For those who chose to prepare their own foods, counting of calories is not being considered. This is unlike in restaurants wherein in every serving the calories are being counted which will allow them not to go beyond what is required per serving.
Eating in restaurants would be somehow helpful in losing weight. Well, aside from the fact that they are quite expensive, people can also eat what is just right amount per meal.
