The extremely long wait for the release of iPod 6th generation is finally coming to an end. The device is all set to be released in September this year.

Popular as the prime music device since the early 2000, iPod will be launched with the current features from iPhones, according to The Latino Post. The cost of the device will be between $250 and $300, which will depend on the storage capacity of the device.

The last version of iPod was released three years ago, which is making the launch of the current model really exciting. The iPod Touch 5th generation did not fair very well in the market, forcing Apple to make unique changes and add the latest features to the upcoming version of the devices, as per reports by The Cross Map.

This was also one of the main reasons for the delay of iPod Touch 6th generation; Apple delayed the launch due to the time taking incorporation of the necessary updates. It was earlier scheduled to be released in 2014. The delay in releasing the 6th generation of the device has led fans to believe that there are a number of new features and updates in store for them.

The device is expected to adopt many features from iPhone, including the artificial intelligence software, Siri. It will also be equipped with Force Touch technology which allows the users to get a more streamlined experience while handling the device.

It is also rumored to sport iOS 9 operating system along with Touch ID finger print scanner and also an A9 processor. It will be able to multi task like the other Apple devices. It is also expected to release after Apple launches its much-anticipated iOS 9 operating system.

There are also reports that Apple is planning to launch two variants of iPod 6 in the market. One variant will have a 4.7 inch screen and the other one with a 5.5 inch screen. This is following the current trend of launching devices with multiple screen display sizes in order to appeal to all strata of the market.

The storage can vary with a 16 GB and a 32 GB variant. There is also a possibility of a 128 GB variant. The users will be able to run this device without charging for 60 hours.
