Serena and Venus Williams are all set for their 4th round encounter at Wimbledon. It should be one of the most anticipated matches of the tournament as both sisters will face each other for the 26th time with Serena leading the race at 14. However, there is a bit of a downside to it.

First, consider Venus' age and the high physical demands of the sport. She has been playing well, dismantling all her opponents in straight sets so far, but this could be her last shot at winning a grand slam title. If Serena wins, Venus is back to zero and who knows whether she'll be at this level again on her next slam? On the other hand, if Venus wins, she'll derail the chances of her sister achieving the "grand slam", a feat that could break WTA records.

When asked about her thoughts on their upcoming match, Serena told ESPN, "I think it will be a really good match. I don't know. She's playing so well. I'm practicing next to her every day, and I'm in awe of how she's doing. It's a little frustrating because I know I have to play her. I just don't know how I'm going to do, to be honest."

In their head-to-head matchup at Wimbledon, Serena is on top at 3-2 with wins coming from three Final Championship matches. On paper, it seems that the younger Williams has the edge being the current no. 1 and winning five of their six recent encounters. Her 3rd round battle with Britain's Heather Watson, however, showed the American's vulnerability with the youngster nearly pulling an upset.

"I honestly didn't think I was going to win," Williams told BBC. "How I pulled through, I really don't know."

Serena's tenacity in grand slam play is apparent and she is known to bounce back after being down a game or a set. But the question of whether she can pull through against Venus who's currently on a roll remains. Nonetheless, it should be a slug-fest that could last for hours.

"She's in better form than I am," Serena said of her sister as reported by CBS Sports. "She has a bit of an advantage going into our match, but at least one of us will be in the quarterfinals."

Either way, expect a Williams to dominate and it may just remain so until the end of the fortnight.
