It was predicted to be a one-sided contest and it was. Serena Williams defeated first-time finalist Garbiñe Muguruza of Spain to claim her sixth Wimbledon title and overall 21st grand slam. The American dominated Centre Court with 29 winners and 12 aces to claim the 6-4 6-4 victory in just an hour and 23 minutes.

Serena and Venus Williams are all set for their 4th round encounter at Wimbledon. It should be one of the most anticipated matches of the tournament as both sisters will face each other for the 26th time with Serena leading the race at 14. However, there is a bit of a downside to it.

Rafael Nadal is out of Wimbledon. The former champion bowed out in four sets to the "dangerous" Dustin Brown with the score of 5-7, 6-3, 4-6, 4-6. The German, who has beaten Nadal in the past, played a solid serve and volley game, using drop shots and sliced forehands at every opportunity to overpower the Spaniard. Brown, who managed to maintain an exceptional form throughout the match, also took advantage of Nadal's poor serve with aggressive responses.
