Reality TV star Kim Kardashian called her husband, rapper Kanye West, with the news, "Honey, I would like literally adopt her."

The urge to adopt came after Kardashian visited an orphanage with her family in the third Thailand episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians".

Kardashian shared that she was so impressed by how happy the children in the orphanage were, despite their circumstances. Knowing that the children had no family made her feel sad, especially since she knew what it was like to have strong family bonds.

The 33-year old reality star narrated how she was so charmed by a 12-year old girl called Pink that she called up to ask West if she could bring her back home with her to America. Kardashian stated that she immediately had a "special connection" with the child.

Kardashian sat down to paint and play Lego with Pink and other little girls.

While the Kardashian family handed out toys and played with the children, Khloe couldn't feel sad that their brother Rob wasn't with them.

Before the family left, Pink hugged Kardashian goodbye and gave her a bracelet for good luck.

Kardashian couldn't shake the thought of wanting to adopt the little girl, so her mother Kris Jenner had to warn her about the implications of adopting a child. Jenner stated "You can't just go to an orphanage and fall in love with a child and then think that you can take them home like you're shopping."

Much to the disappointment of Kardashian, the manager of the resort the family was staying at told her that she won't be allowed the adopt the child. He said that the Thai government discourages foreigners from adopting Thai children and bringing them out of the country. "That's so sad," Kardashian replied.

Kardashian and West have one daughter, North.
