Cinemablend further adds that Maxwell Lord will also appear in the show and he will be played by "Twilight" star Peter Facinelli. "Supergirl" Executive Producer Greg Berlanti hinted that Kara will face several of Superman's known villains, which makes sense since the Man of Steel is already been hinted several times in the show's trailer and in the leaked pilot expisode.
Vortox was already introduced in the leaked pilot episode of "Supergirl" as an axe wielding alien who is one of the many alien prisoners that have escaped in the Phantom Zone prison, as it was revealed by the end of the episode that he plays a higher power, which serves as Kara's main nemesis, Den of Geek reported.
Warner Bros. adds that Maxwell Lord in the series will serve as Cat Grants' (Calista Flockhart) rival in media industry and has some sort of interest with Kara's alter ego Supergirl during the show.
Livewire was first introduced as a controvertial radio shock jock Leslie Willis in "Superman: The Animated Series." She frequently bashes Superman in the show and after one fateful night that involves a thunderstorm, she got hit by lightning and woke with electrical based powers.
Believing that Superman has something to do with it, he fights him on a regular basis in order to gain revenge. Livewire first made her live action appearance in "Smallville" played by Anna Mae Routledge
Reactron, on the otherhand, is Ben Krullen, a soldier who got injured during his time in the army. After he was seemingly destroyed in an energy blash, he was ressurected as a super powered being with radiation based abilities, and at one time had a gold Kryptonite which enables to make any Kryptonians powerless for 15 seconds.
In other news, Franchise Herald reports that the show's Executive Producer Ali Adler hinted several ways of how Superman will appear in each episode of "Supergirl."
Adler stated that Clark Kent will not appear physically in the show, but he will likely be referenced by several characters within the show such as Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks).
Entertainment Weekly further adds that Adler compared Supergirl with Julia-Louis Dreftus in the HBO drama series "Veep," as he stated that the show is all about Kara Danvers' journey as a heroin.
"Supergirl" TV series will premiere on Oct. 26, 2015 on CBS.
