Chinese EXO member Tao recently cried on a Chinese television program. He shed tears while talking about his difficult time in South Korea.

Tao was one of the four Chinese members of EXO-M, the Mandarin subgroup of EXO. Korea Boo reported that when the host asked whether it was difficult for him to work away from home. He broke down while describing the hardships he had to go through during his stay in Korea.

Netizens have reacted negatively to the news that Tao's cried on a show. Korea Boo quoted one of the posters as saying, "I heard Tao cried when MC's were telling him he must have a hard time away from home hahaha crazy hahahaha he doesn't even feel sorry nor have any feelings of guilt haha I think he may be crazy in the head."

Some of the posters compared him to Chen and Xiumin, the two Korean members of EXO-M group. They said the two never complained when they had to perform in China despite not speaking a word of Chinese. The six-member EX-M group consisted of four Chinese members and two Koreans. Lay is currently the only active Chinese member of the group. Chinese members Kris and Luhan left the group last year.

Meanwhile, Tao is set to make his solo debut on July 23, with a mini-album, titled "T.A.O." He has released a teaser music video for this upcoming album. Nick Lentz has directed it, and according to Korea Boo's report, the video has a "symbolic meaning" as an artist's underwater struggle has been captured. In the video, Tao can be seen going under the water and later he is seen washed ashore. He is also seen walking, unsteadily. The final glimpse is that of a woman extending her hand for Tao to hold under the water.

Tao has not yet announced that he has quit EXO but has not actively participated with the group since April. Last month, he established a one-man studio in Beijing, China to handle his solo activities, and the mini-album is his first offering after that. SM Entertainment has removed him from Facebook's official EXO-M page, though it has yet to officially confirm rumors about Tao's departure from the group.
