The website further adds that "Captain America: Civil War" will be joined by other notable Disney owned films such as "Star Wars: Force Awakens," "Alice In Wonderland" sequel and "The Jungle Book," just to name a few. Marvel Studios will probably present "Civil War" on August 15, Saturday at 10:30 am in Hall D23.
It is not yet known if Marvel Studios will actually showcase a teaser trailer or a clip of the film, but the website hinted that Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr. and the rest of the cast members will be at the event.
Aside from the D23 Expo appearance, there are rumors making rounds that two Marvel characters will show up in "Captain America: Civil War."
ComicBook.com reports that Evangeline Lilly's character Hope Van Dyne will appear in the movie as her alter-ego The Wasp. For those who have already seen "Ant-Man," everyone is aware that Hope and her father Hank Pym are now working on a proto-type version of the new Wasp suite, during the post-credit scene of the film.
Marvel President Kevin Feige admitted that Hope Van Dyne's Wasp was originally planned to show up in "Captain America: Civil War," but Feige did not want Wasp's appearance to be brief and overshadowed by the many characters present in the film, Screenrant reported. Feige has assured fans that Wasp will definitely have a bigger role in phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Moviepilot reportedly claimed that General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross will appear as the gamma powered Red Hulk during the film. It was previously reported that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk will not appear in the third installment, which makes a perfect opportunity for fans to see another "Hulk" character debut in the MCU.
"Thor" star Jaimie Alexander stated the several easter eggs for "Thor: Ragnarok" could be found in "Captain America: Civil War" as he urges fans to really "pay attention" to the film, and saying that this is Marvel's way of hyping auidiences, ComingSoon.net reports.
HitFix also revealed that Martin Freeman's character in "Civil War" could be Henry Peter Gyrich, a CIA agent and a liaison to the Avengers in the Marvel Comics.
"Captain America: Civil War" will be released in cinemas on May 6, 2016.
