'Thor: Ragnarok' Update: New Director Details Hinted By Kevin Feige; Lady Sif's Backstory Teased In Part 3!

Screenrant previously reported that "Thor" star Jaimie Alexander teased Marvel fans that there will be a lot of easter eggs for "Thor: Ragnarok" in "Captain America: Civil War" film during an interview with L.A.Times.

International Business Times reported that Alexander urges everyone to pay attention to the "Civil War" film as she complimented Marvel for implementing these details throughtout their films. The website furhter adds that the "Blindspot" star will return for her role as the Asgardian warrior Lady Sif in "Thor: Ragnarok" and hinted that her character will have a "pivotal role" in the upcoming third installment.

Cinemablend reportedly claimed that a possible backstory for Lady Sif is planned for "Thor: Ragnarok" exploring more details about her origins of meeting Thor, Loki and the rest to the greatest woman warrior in Asgard's history today.

So far, Marvel has not yet given out some details regarding "Thor: Ragnarok's" development but there have been several hints that the movie will likely focus on the Mighty Avenger's quest to stop a death cycle, known as "Ragnarok" in Asgard, as seen in his visions during the events of "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

It was previously reported that three Marvel characters could appear in "Thor: Ragnarok" such as Lorelei, Beta Ray Bill and even the Mad Titan himself, Thanos which will likely set up the events for "Avengers: Infinity War Part 1."

There are also rumors that the new villains in "Thor: Ragnarok" could be the Fire Lord Surtur, Lorelei's sister Amora the Enchantress and possible death of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in the third installment.

In other news, Venture Capital Post previously reported that Marvel President Kevin Feige hinted details for a new director for "Thor: Ragnarok" movie. It was previously announced that Kevin Branagh will helm the third "Thor" film, but Feige stated that a new updates will be revealed soon by the end of summer. Perhaps it could be the official plot details, a teaser trailer or even new directors as Feige teased that it could be two.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will be part of phase 3 in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it is scheduled to be released in cinemas on Nov. 3, 2017.
