Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou just dropped the first official portrait of his newborn daughter on Tuesday. The usually secretive new father finally released his baby's portrait through his official Facebook page Mr. J after weeks of requests from fans.

But being his careful, and perhaps playful, self, Chou shared only a black-and-white artwork depicting his baby, much to the dismay of some fans. Courtesy of his online store J Concept, the portrait shows a pensive baby wearing a paisley diaper and a printed bonnet with two Mickey Mouse-like ears and "Chou Chou" print. The caption simply read, "This is?"

According to Toggle, fans had mixed reactions to Chou's post, with some urging the singe-actor to "hurry up and post a real photo of him and his daughter." Others contented themselves with just the portrait.

Chou's first baby with 21-year-old wife Hannah Quinlivan was reportedly born on July 10. While several reports claim varying birth dates, the couple did not find it necessary to clarify the information and kept the momentous event to themselves and their families. Fans have since clamored for the couple to post pictures of their little angel on social media. However, Chou previously stated that he will share photos only when he has "calmed down."

Prior to the portrait of Chou Chou baby, the celebrity's first social media display of his official fatherhood was through a picture posted by his friend Ric Chiang. In the photo, Chou was seen holding a handwritten letter that read, "Ah Die (Daddy) I love you." Netizens commended Chou's expression, which they noted has turned mellow since "he was promoted to the the ranks of a father."

Chou has been very secretive even during Quinlivan's pregnancy. In one of his interviews in June, Chou kept the public guessing about the gender of his baby. While he has been vocal about wanting to have a boy and considering "Jay Junior" for a name, Chou kept the gender to himself by showing instead a question mark sign on the inner lining of his jacket. He then promised to let media know once Quinlivan has gone to labor and urged them to "keep on waiting."
