The Bulls will host NYCFC at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey for the weekend evening MLS match on August 9.

Jesse Marsch's squad won the previous two meetings against the team of Jason Kreis as English forward Bradley Wright-Phillips led the way with three goals overall.

The Bulls settled for a 1-1 draw against Montreal Impact in their most recent outing. Although they gained a road point, Marsch had hoped for a win after getting an 11-minute one-man advantage as Impact defender Laurent Ciman was sent off following a second yellow.

Brazilian midfielder Felipe nearly won the game for the Bulls as time expired, but his free kick struck the goal post, as reported by the MLS official website.

NYCFC's last game was also against Montreal last Saturday. The Impact spoiled the debut of new acquisition Frank Lampard at the Yankee Stadium, beating New York in a high-scoring clash, 3-2, as per BBC Sport.

City will be looking to win this match not only to score their first win of the rivalry but also to try and snatch a playoff spot. Spanish forward David Villa is expected to lead NYCFC's offense after scoring 10 goals in his last eight games in the tourney.

The prediction is a surprising 2-1 win by NYCFC over the Red Bulls. Both teams are desperate for a win, as MLSGB noted, but the Yankee Stadium dwellers are hungrier and more determined to chase a place in the postseason.
