Recently, Luhan and Kris have been vocal about leaving their former boy group EXO. Now, it is Tao's turn to do the talking. Aside from sharing his hardships during his time in Korea, Tao also talked about his regret over the Weibo and Instagram post he made against Kris.

In an interview with Sina, former EXO member Tao expressed regret for the harsh posts he made against Kris when he had left the Korean boy band. It was back in 2014 when both Kris and Luhan decided to cut ties from EXO and SM Entertainment due to "unfair treatment." Still young then, Tao took Kris's' decision the wrong way.

At that time, Tao used the word "betrayal" against Kris in his Instagram and Weibo post. According to Tao, he felt hurt when Kris decided to leave, as Kris was what Tao had considered a "brother" within EXO. Now, after leaving the group himself, Tao understands where Kris had come from after making such a decision, and he adds that he regrets having made posts against Kris on Weibo. Right now, Tao feels "unforgiven" by Kris, whom he has not spoken with since leaving EXO.

"My personal feelings were the cause for how I spoke to Kris that way," stated Tao, adding, "My relationship was the best with Kris in the group, and I had no idea why he left. I woke up in the morning, saw the news, and found out he had left, so I posted [those criticisms] on impulse. He's a really good hyung and a good friend, but he had not told me when he left. I even wrote a lot about the experiences from the time I knew Kris, from training to now and when we debuted, at the time."

As for Luhan, the other former EXO member, Tao claims he often speaks to him. He hopes that he may somehow reconnect with Kris. In the interview, a teary-eyed Tao also opened up on the misunderstanding some fans of EXO have against him. For Tao, he had made a decision simply due to the health reasons and unfair treatment by SM Entertainment and not against his group EXO.
