According to VG 24/7, the new patch 1.08 update for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" has already been launched and the new update has indeed improve the game's framerate problem as well as in-game performance. It was reported before that several gaming fans complained about the sudden frame rate drops in the 1.07 update.

Gamers have noticed that the sudden frame rate drop wavers from 20fps-30fps in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, and CD Projekt RED were quick to respond to the complains and announced the 1.08 update. The website noted that some of the fixed frame rate drops can be found in Crookback Bog area were they removed the 20fps drop and the 25fps drop on the Novigrad market places.

Eurogamer reports that although these changes were a great improvement for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt", the Xbox One console still hold a better frame rate than the PS4 version since the 1.05 update as Sony still keeps the frame rate capped at 20.

The website that DigitalFoundry was able to post a video to showcase the improvements made by the 1.08 update in "The Witcher 3" video game.


Aside from the frame rate fix, the 1.08 patch update will also introduce a new game feature called "New Game Plus" were in gamers can play the main storymode again, but will retain their current level, stats, weapons, gears and items (except quest, books, letters and usable items).

International Business Times reports that CD Projekt RED will launch the New Game Plus mode "internally" since the patch 1.08 update is already out.

The game's community manager Marcin Momot confirmed that Fast Travel points will not carry over a new save via NG+ mode, meaning gamers will have to roam the Nothern realsm all over again, Express UK reports.

PlayStationLifeStyle was able to note other fixes and noted for the patch 1.08 update such as rare item disappearances, achievements not working properly, comparing items to others being sold to merchants, in-game glitches during quest and many more. It was reported before that CD Projekt RED will also announce new quest in the 1.08 update such as "Heart of Stone" and "Blood and Wine" as well as a rumored returning character, Shani.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available in stores for the PS4, Xbox One and for the PC.
