GoPro Hero can be attached to helmets, bicycles, ski poles and various kinds of boards.
The newest version, GoPro Hero 4, can record videos at 240 frames per second at 720p resolution, 120 fps at 1080p and 30 fps at 4k.
The invention of the new SoC (system-on-a-chip) Ambarella A9 computer chip, which is made for wireless connections, advanced applications and streaming videos, makes switching between the three options possible.
GoPro Hero 4 also comes with a new lens for recording in darkness and a 13-megapixel photosensor.
It also has electronic image stabilization; improved motion compensated temporal filtering; multi-exposure, high dynamic range and wide dynamic range tone mapping.
The cam also sports dual sensor interfaces and a remote viewfinder playback that is notably easy to use, according to DGise. GoPro Hero 4 is user-friendly enough that users don't need any skills or special technical knowledge to use it.
Its waterproof housing and flat lenses imbues it with the power to record underwater at up to a range of 60 meters in front of the camera.
It has a built in Wi-Fi module, high-definition multimedia interface and a USB port.
The camera is capable of capturing still images while shooting videos and performs H.264/BP/MP/HP level 5.1 and MJPEG encoding.
GoPro's action cameras have become significantly popular as an exceptional method of recording high-quality movies at quick speeds. It retails at US$340.
