The Wii U once-exclusive game "ZombiU" is being rebranded and released as "Zombi" on August 18, in which, according to the official Ubisoft blog, will be available for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

"Zombi" focuses on a series of survivors that have been cast adrift in a fictitious London which is crawling with zombies. Players have the option of battling these scary-looking zombies with melee weapons and firearms (and risk attracting zombie hordes) or being sneaky and avoiding them altogether. The entire experience is edge-of-the-seat scary as zombies are known to pop up from everywhere. They are especially fond of creeping up on players who are distracted rooting through their inventory.

"Zombi" has been updated with new gameplay and better graphics to make it a much more enjoyable experience for fans. Ubisoft has attempted to recreate the tense atmosphere of the original game and appears to have succeeded for the most part. "Zombi" now has an increased field of view (FOV) that should make it less claustrophobic on the big screen.

The HUD has been shifted to the main screen from the double-screen Wii U interface, but Ubisoft promises this will not make the experience any less intense. The game now has two new melee weapons, the shovel and the nail bat, that complement the cricket bat which players could use in "ZombiU." The flashlight has also been improved as it is more powerful and can emit a wider beam; however, players run the risk of depleting the battery and attracting even more zombies if they use it too often.

Ubisoft has yet to release any details about the pricing, though it has been confirmed the game will only be available for digital download. Keeping that in mind, Screenrant speculates that fans probably will not have to pay the full $59.99 as its new game release price. Instead, fans can expect to pay $30 or even less for the game. "ZombiU" for the Wii U, which released in 2012, can still be purchased for $20.

Ubisoft is also mum about the system requirements, though fans will know them soon enough when the game gets released.
