The retired footballer plays the role of a motorcycle stuntman who is haunted by memories of a beautiful trapeze artist and "hunted by a maniacal director seeking revenge." He gets involved in a chase for the circus director, Vogue reported. The former England football captain himself boats of a collection of motorcycles in Los Angeles.

The storyline of the short film follows on the line of "The Stranger." Beckham also etches the character of a mysterious drifter in the flick directed by Geremy Jasper. Its executive producer is Liv Tyler, who is also the partner of Beckham's best friend Dave Gardner. The film was shot on location in the dusty plains of Mexico.

"I've had a long relationship with Belstaff, and a very successful one and one I've really enjoyed," Beckham says in a behind-the-scenes look at the making of "Outlaws." "Belstaff came to me with an idea of doing a short film . . . It was an easy decision to make that we were going to do this," he said.

The trailer will be released on the Belstaff official website on Monday, while a wrap party will take place during New York Fashion Week on September 17. The father of four has also starred in ad campaigns for the brand. This apart, he has designed two collections for Belstaff.

Beckham was the face of Belstaff's 2014 global advertising campaign. He was shot by famous photographer Peter Lindbergh in Buckinghamshire, England. It aimed to capture the spirit of a band of brothers traveling across the English countryside.
