Good news gaming fans as new updates for "Mortal Kombat X" have been revealed regarding possible new characters for the "Kombat Pack 2" and a launch date of PS3 version of the game in December.

According to Yibada, "Mortal Kombat" creator has teased gaming fans again about the posisble characters being added in the "Kombat Pack 2" very soon for "Mortal Kombat X." Boon has posted three images on his Twitter account that features the cyborg ninja Sektor, a Xenomorplh from Ridley Scott's "Alien" film franchise, Ghost Face from"Scream" and a random ninja.

NetherRealm Studios has not yet confirmed if these characters that Boon has been posting were confirmed for "Kombat Pack 2," it is interesting to see that the "Mortal Kombat" creator is activlely teasing gamers expectations as well as presenting ideas that could work to make "Mortal Kombat X" more interesting to the gamer, both old a new.

Gamerant futher adds that NetherRealm Studios is also considering the T-800 teriminator from "The Terminator" film series (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) will likely be added in "Mortal Kombat X" as well. The website adds that a fan from Twitter shared a photo of the beloved killing machine to Boon's Twitter page, as the latter teased that a conversation for having him in the game "DID happen!"

This is not the first time the Terminator is featured in a video game this year as he is also part of "WWE 2K16" roster as special guest playable character.

It was reported before that "Mortal Kombat" characters such as Bo'Rai Cho, Kabal, Fujin, Cyrax and Spawn are being considered for the "Kombat Pack 2," but with only four characters in the pack, NetherRealm Studios will have a hard time picking out which characters would fit perfectly in the second character DLC.

The Kombat Pack 1 was huge success for gamers as it featured two returning "MK" characters Tanya and Tremor as well as two guest characters; "Friday the 13th" slasher Jason Voorhees and a Predator warrior from the "Predator" film series. With a huge wish list of characters to choose from, gamers will likely get an announcement from NetherRealm or Boon himself very soon.

In other news, Yibada reportedly claimed that "Mortal Kombat X" for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions could be release this month of August, only NetherRealm has not yet confirmed whether this is true or not.

Still, it was reported before that "Mortal Kombat X" for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles could possibly launched on December 31, 2015 in GameStop's official website. Looking at it carefully, having the game released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 this month could vaguely happen since there are no announcement made from NetherRealm Studios regarding its launch date on the third-generation consoles.

"Mortal Kombat X" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
