Since Xiaomi's release of Mi 4 model, the rumors of Mi5 have been spreading throughout the internet.

According to Focusnews, the Xiaomi Mi 5 Smartphone will be equipped with a 5.3-inch Quad HD display screen (554ppi) along with a 1440 * 2560 resolution rear camera, which suggests that consumers will get amazing picture quality with great raw power from this little power house. Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to run on a deca-core processor, along with MediaTek Helio X20 chipset coupled with 4 GB of RAM, which will eventually mark better performance than the previous Mi model. Technical glitches and heating issues are expected to not appear or be minimized at least.

IBtimes speculates that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will come with an internal memory of 64 GB, while users will have the option of increasing the memory further with a dedicated external microSD slot. The rear camera is going to be equipped with 16 Megapixels which will come with OIS, laser auto focus and a powerful LED flash. It will also feature a front camera for shooting selfies for the selfie enthusiasts. Surely, Xiaomi has  alot to offer to their consumers in the form of this upgraded model of their smartphones.

The non-removable battery will have a capacity of 3030mAh and is said to support fast charging technology. A lot has been speculated and discussed about Xiaomi's MIUI 7 Operating system since the release of Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime. Xiaomi Mi 5 model will be featuring MIUI 7 on top of the Android Lollipop layer. Connectivity of the smartphone is also well defined, which includes USB Type C port for better file transfers, Wi-Fi 802.11 and Bluetooth v4.1. According to reports, one of the best enhancements to this series is the in-built fingerprint scanner which makes it stand on par with the Apple devices.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is reportedly expected to give a bitter competition to Apple as it features quiet awesome  specs with a cheaper price tag.
