Kitase adds that they are starting to "see" the visual directions for the "FFVII" remake as it was previously reported that Square Enix will likely draw inspiration from the CGI animated film "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children," and judging by the teaser trailer that was shown in E3 2015, gaming fans will likely see some familiar faces with good deal of makeover.
It was previously stated that they will not use the Luminous game engine software from the upcoming title "Final Fantasy XV," and instead, they will borrow the same technology used in creating another Square Enix game "Just Cause 3."
Gamerant further adds that Kitase also shared signifant information regarding "Final Fantasy 7" remake's combat system hinting that it is on a "trial and error" stages.
"We're currently working out the battle system and such through trial and error," Kitase told Famitsu. "Since there's a possibility that the command battle system of the oldd days might not work today, we're thinking hard about what kind of direction we can take it."
Kitase also shared that doing a remake of a previous title, they draw line as to go with the familiar take in action RPG, while still suprising everyone both old and new to "Final Fantasy 7".
Moviepilot also adds that the most important thing that Square Enix do in remaking "Final Fantasy 7" is that they must retain the emotional value in the story that was shown back in the first PlayStation console. The journey itself could bring the game back to life, while utilizing new technology and features that will make "Final Fantasy 7" remake unique from previous or upcoming titles.
Square Enix will try their best to add game features that would make it great, at the same time, stay true to the original fearing that chanigin something major will upset gaming fans who have loved the original PS1 title.
It was also reported before that gaming fans have also gave out request to Square Enix to add interesting gameplay features such more mini games in the Gold Saucer and an alternate storyline featurng Aerith Gainsborough.
As for its launch date, it was speculated that "Final Fantasy 7" remake will launch in 2016 due to the Sony Advertisement, while it is predicted that 2017 is the likely release date as it will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the beloved Final Fantasy story.
