It looks like new updates for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" have been revealed regarding a new companion app, launch trailer and a possible hint of a new video game title soon.

The new trailer highlights the past "Metal Gear Solid" titles that Konami has published over the years such as the first "Metal Gear Solid" game, "Sons of Liberty," "Snake Eater," "Guns of the Patriot" and "Peace Walker."

"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is the continuation from the prequel title "Ground Zeroes" as Snake and company will go to war against a new enemy Skull Face, and will likely mark the rise of Snake as Big Boss and the birth of outer heaven.

The trailer ends with Snake being chased down by a new Metal Gear robot called "Metal Gear Sahelanthropus" and it can transform from its T-Rex like mode to a humanoid version of itself complete with a laser sword dubbing it the "Ultimate Metal Gear."

Aside from the new trailer, VG 24/7 reports that Konami also added a new companion app for "Metal Gear: Solide 5: The Phantom Pain" similar to "Ground Zero."

The website further explained that app will serve as a second screen so player can check the map of the whole area while they are still playing. The app can also allow players to play music that they have collected within the game. Sadly, the app only works on the PS4, PS3 and Xbox One versions and not on the PC and Xbox 360 platforms.

Lastly, Gamerant reports that "Metal Gear" game series creator Hideo Kojima hinted that he will likely create something new for the gaming fans very soon during his 52nd birthday celebration. He posted on his Twitter account his appreciation to the gaming fans and promised that he will still "keep creating" new things for the rest of his life.

The website speculated that Kojima's statement could mean that he has something big planned in the future now that he has left Konami after he is done with "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain". The last time that he has worked on something different was the P.T. demo which eventually became "Silent Hills" alongside "Pacific Rim" director Guillermo del Toro and it stars "The Walking Dead" TV series own Norman Reedus as the main protagonist. Sadly, Konami shut down the "Silent Hills"project after the company's dispute with Kojima.

Now that Kojima has left his ties with Konami, will he continue create new game genres or possibly another "Metal Gear" sequel in the future.

It was previously reported that "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" received several positive reviews from different websites commenting its impressive gameplay features and epic storyline.

"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will be release on Sept. 1, 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and for the PC.
