'Street Fighter 5' PS4 Beta Test To Resume This Week; R. Mika Joins The Roster In Latest Character Trailer [VIDEO]

According to Eurogamer, Capcom will resume the worldwide "Street Fighter 5" beta test today at around midnight, which is 12am BST in August 29. Capcom announced that the game's beta test program will be five days and will end at 3pm on September 2.

IGN reported that Capcom is expecting the servers to run smoothly this time around in "Street Fighter 5," as it was previously reported that Capcom conducted a stress test two days before the beta test relaunch the following week.

"Outside of the servers being shut down for periodic maintenance, we expect everything to run continuously throughout the entire five days beta period," Capcom stated. "No doubt while knocking around on all of the wood in the office."

The new patch 1.02 update will enable to remedy the many glitches and bugs that plagued in-game performance of the "Street Fighter 5" beta. Now that it became a success, gamers will have no problem playing "Street Fighter 5" on their PS4 or PC platforms.

Gamers are also encouraged to check for incoming updates and announcements @SFVServer Twitter page and are recommended to use a wired connection instead of WiFi for more stable speeds during online sessions in "Street Fighter 5".

In other news, Gamerant reports that Capcom has streamed a new character trailer featuring the masked luchador R. Mika of "Street Fighter Alpha series" fame.


R. Mika is one of the rumored characters hinted to join "Street Fighter 5" alongside Karen Kanzaki, Alex, Urien, Guile, Zangief, Blanka, Hugo, Poison, C. Viper and many more just to name a few. It was speculated that two new characters are making a debut in "SFV" such as Kuan and Sherry, while series favorite Akuma will be a Day 1 DLC character.

R.Mika in the game plays differently here in "Street Fighter 5" as she utilizes attacks that has tag team wrestling moves with an unknown female partner.

VG 24/7 was able to reveal R.Mika's V-Skill and V-Trigger moves in "Street Fighter 5." Her V-Skill is called "Mic Performance" as she brings out a microphone to say some inspirational monologues pumping up the crowd which increased her stats and damage in battle. The longer players hold down the button, the more powerful she gets. She is able to absorb attacks in the monologue state and can break it off anytime, causing her to fling the mic to her opponent.

Her V-Trigger on the other hand, is called "Nadeshiko" and it has three variations depending on the directions that the player goes through. It allows R. Mika to call upon her tag team partner to perform a suprise high attacks to her opponent. Neural controls enables a body splash, while hold back can perform a drop kick in the front and another at the back when holding forward.

R. Mika will join the already confirmed characters in "Street Fighter 5" such as Ryu, Chun Li, M.Bison, Charlie Nash, Ken Masters, Cammy White, Birdie, Vega and new figther Necalli.

"Street Fighter 5" will be release in March 2016 for the PS4 and PC.
