On Aug. 27, on a Thursday episode of American late-night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", heavy metal band Lamb of God appeared as the musical guest. The heavy metal band brought an intense performance with the vocalist's powerful screams and growls accompanied by twisted sounding guitar riffs. The performance made the metalhead fans go wild creating a circle pit while they lost themselves in the heavy music.

The songs that were performed by the band on the broadcast were "512" and "Still Echoes" both of which are new releases from their eighth studio album entitled "VII: Sturm und Drang". The stage for the performance was set outside the usual place for the talk show allowing the audience to take part in the headbang bash.

The Lamb of God vocalist, Randy Blythe also explained the origins of the lyrics of the song "512" during an interview with Rolling Stone on last July. He revealed that the song was about his dreadful experience in Pankrac Prison which was located in Prague, Czech Republic. It was during his imprisonment there in cell number 512 that started him to write on the lyrics of the song. He stated that his entire time in the prison was really dark where he couldn't even identify what time of the day is. The experience for the heavy metal vocalist was a life-changing one.

The reason for Blythe's custody was that he got charged with the murder of a 19-year-old fan during their 2010 concert in Prague. He was later released on the same year that he got arrested (which was on 2012) after spending more than a month in Pankrac Prison and was later held not criminally liable for the accidental murder.

On a different note, earlier in the day of their performance in Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Lamb of God's drummer, Chris Adler found out that their band had been dubbed as a Christian heavy metal band by a TV listing guide for the talk show. The drummer then jokingly posted on his Facebook about them being a Christian heavy metal band saying "How'd you like that "Christian Metal?".
