"The Big Bang Theory" will be celebrating another union when Season 9 rolls in. Penny and Leonard are going to tie the knot according to showrunner Steve Molaro. Howard and Bernadette got hitched in Season 5 and it's about time that another relationship moves forward in the long-running series.

Molaro said in an interview with TV Line, ""We're nine years in and we want to keep things moving forward, as well as exciting and scary and fun. And I think this a great way to do it. Penny has had commitment issues for years and years now, especially when it comes to Leonard, and even she feels, 'How much longer are we going to go back and forth on this? Let's just jump in and hope for the best.'"

Christian Post reveals that the show will feature a storyline on "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Molaro explained, "We're talking about how that will be weaved into [the guys'] lives. And we have some really cool ideas...Obviously, we're all excited about it, just as human beings - and the characters are as well. I don't know exactly how it's going to play in, but it won't be ignored,"

The executive producer also confirmed that although season 9 begins with Penny and Leonard getting married, it's just part of a complex plot. TV Line dropped a clue that the woman Leonard kissed could haunt the newlyweds.

As for Amy and Sheldon, all fans know from the show's official website photos is that Amy is coping with the break up with the help of the gang. Viewers hope Sheldon does something to win Amy back!

Season 9 of "The Big Bang Theory" returns on Sept. 21 on CBS.
