Arrow Update: First Look at Diggle’s Costume Plus New Promo Poster of Green Arrow

2015 Winter TCA Tour - Day 5

(Photo : Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images) PASADENA, CA - JANUARY 11: Actors Stephen Amell (L) and Grant Austin laugh onstage during the 'Arrow' and 'The Flash' panel as part of The CW 2015 Winter Television Critics Association press tour at the Langham Huntington Hotel & Spa on January 11, 2015 in Pasadena, California.

It's Diggle Time! Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) righthand man John Diggle (David Ramsey) is suiting up for "Arrow" Season 4 and CW just released the badass costume.

Executive Producer Mark Guggenheim revealed at Comic-Con that Diggle is not really a fan of costumes so what they created for him is more of a super suit to be consistent with their characterization.

"I don't think Diggle looks at it as a costume per se. Oliver, in the last season, gave him advice in terms of concealing his identity, and so Diggle approaches it from a very practical standpoint. He followed Oliver's advice and he's got a means of concealing his identity, but I think Diggle would probably react to anyone calling it a costume," the producer added.

When asked about the helmet's origin Guggenheim explained, "One of the things that we started to feel last year... is Diggle's got a wife [and] daughter. So if he's going out there surrounded by people in masks and he's John Diggle, that's not the greatest idea on his part."

Diggle's new look comes at the most opportune time as he has proven himself to be a great leader of Team Arrow during Oliver's absence. The super suit, in a way, gives him more authority to take on a leadership role whenever Oliver's not around.

CW also released a new promo poster featuring Amell in his Green Arrow costume. It's captioned "Aim. Higher." Oliver's transformation from being a vigilante to a no-killing hero has brought him closer to the comic book character Green Arrow. Thus, the new costume fits perfectly with his ever-evolving character.
