Antonio Banderas wants to bring the cape back in fashion but for men. The "Mask of Zorro" actor wants to design a cape, a piece which is a part of the cultural heritage of Spain and came to be synonymous with bullfight. It is known as Capote de paseo in Spanish.

He wants to design menswear and wants to focus on capes.
"There is one garment that I love that was lost in menswear a long time ago, and I would like to experiment with it: the cape," Banderas said.
The Spanish actor has enrolled himself at Central St Martins in London and is taking classes in fashion.
"Capes in the winter, in places like this... I think they have incredible possibilities," stated Banderas. The actor added that they were very comfortable.
The actor said that with capes there are lots of possibilities of experimenting with colors and textures. Banderas told how there are clubs in Spain for people who love to wear capes. It is almost of the same shape as the capote for bullfighting, in pink silk, with yellow or blue in the back, he said.
Banderas told 1Granary, the student-run magazine at Central Saint Martins. The actor is taking a specially crafted short course in fashion. The college has confirmed the news. The 55-year-old actor took to his Twitter and shared the news with his followers.
The short course in bespoke tailoring at the London art school runs over four weeks. A spokeswoman for the college said that Banderas was learning everything from scratch with the basics of bespoke tailoring.
The actor had expressed his desire to enrol into the course earlier this year. The course will end before full-time students return in Oc.
The 55-year-old Spanish actor told on British TV show "Loose Women" earlier this year that he aspired to study fashion. He added that he required knowledge to step into the territory, adding that fashion "makes me feel, actually, very young." The art and design school has trained John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, and Stella McCartney.
