Julianne Hough and her fiancé ice hockey player Brooks Laich threw a party to honor their engagement. The star-studded bash had a whole list of celebs, which included Hough's older brother Derek Hough.

Others to join in the party to celebrate the big event were Teddy Sears of "Master of Sex" fame and Lauren and Aaron Paul and several other close friends and family members, E! News reported. The bas was held over the Labor Day weekend.

"Thank you to all you awesome folks who made last night a very special memory for @juleshough and I! You are all a little south of sanity and we love you for it!" Brooks wrote on Instagram Friday.

The celebration comes just one week before Julianne gets back to work as a judge on "Dancing With The Stars" that enters into its new season. The judge will be busy critiquing the moves of celebrity chef Paula Deen, Bindi Irwin, Kim Zolciak and a host of other celebs, who will compete on Season 21.

Julianne Hough said that she and her fiancé are in no rush to get married. She said they were currently enjoying the phase of being engaged. "We really enjoy our stages," said Hough. She added that they enjoyed dating and now wanted to enjoy being engaged. So she said that they wanted to enjoy each stage of their relationship, Hello reported.

The Washington Capitals center-forward popped the question with a stunning five carat oval shaped diamond ring by jeweller Lorraine Schwartz when he proposed. They got engaged in Aug. during a family vacation to the family's lakeside retreat.

Hough loves her new bling. The ice hockey player reportedly spent months working with Schwartz to find the perfect engagement ring. The two-time DWTS champion said that the ring made her feel feminine and it takes her breath away, every time she looks at it.

She added she will never take it off, adding that she even wakes up in the middle of the night to check if it is still there on her finger.

The 27-year-old announced her engagement with an Instagram post in Aug. She updated her fans on her big day saying that the couple were overwhelmed with joy and excitement. She added the hashtags 'fiancé' and 'love'.
