Earlier in the show, Fallon and Timberlake performed the sixth installment of their "History of Rap" series. The singer-actor also shared a picture of his 5-month-old baby Silas. The best buds also performed Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" at the U.S. Open, which was shown in the show, much to the surprise and delight of the audience.

"The Tonight Show" host kicked off the battle with an engaging performance of "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers. DeGeneres responded with a classic Diana Ross song "Do You Know Where You're Going To." The 57-year-old host even also showed her sultry side in this number.

Fallon made a huge comeback with something contemporary "Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae)" by Silento that was full of sick dance moves. You might think that Fallon got the competition in the bag, but DeGeneres still had something up her sleeve.

The comedian brought her A-game to the table with Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have Money." Her sleek moves and spot on lip syncing won Timberlake's vote and the crowd gave her a standing ovation.

The unbelievable battle is one of the best ever performed in "The Tonight Show." Other remarkable lip sync battle performances include Emma Stone, Paul Rudd, Tom Cruise, and Joseph Gordon Levitt. The hit segment led to the creation of the spin-off show "Lip Sync Battle" on Spike.
