Robert Redford and Jane Fonda are rumored to be casted in Netflix "Our Souls at Night". The new film will bring to life Kent Haruf's novel that was previously released last May of this same year.

Although the talks are still on the process, no deal has been fully confirmed. Netflix proposed movie also aims on bringing diversity in the casting and the even in screenplay. Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber were disclosed by Hollywood Reporter as the scriptwriters for the film "Our Souls at Night". Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber are the screenwriting team behind "The Fault in Our Stars" and "500 Days of Summer".

With a powerful screenwriting team, the matchup between Robert Redford and Jane Fonda adds charm and grace to the movie as well. Empire Online revealed that both have famously worked together in the likes of "Barefoot In The Park" and "The Electric Horseman", and have long wanted to share the screen again. Also both have works that separately included in the Toronto Film Festival. Redford's Dan Rather film "Truth" premiered on Saturday and Fonda has a memorable role in "Youth", which first premiered in Cannes and is now showing at TIFF.

Now, the two are rumored to work together once more in "Our Souls at Night". The story is fixated on Colorado. The plot focuses on a character named Addie Moore, a widow living alone since her children are living far from her. Addie Moore visits her neighbor, who is Louis Waters, in the same way single and have been an old friend of Addie's for many decades. The show progresses not just being friends but being more than that.

If Netflix gets the deal, the world can see the much awaited pairing of Robert Redford and Jane Fonda that has captivated the world for decades.
