Among the games seen in the video are the following: RIGS (Mechanized Combat League), a game by Guerilla Games Cambridge, the makers of Killzone; London Heist, a gangster game by Sony's London Studio; and The Deep, an underwater diving game, the Eurogamer reports.
It has also been confirmed that Final Fantasy XIV will also receive VR support. There are currently not much details on the integration of virtual reality on this MMO.
Naoki Yoshida, director and producer of FFXIV said that parts of the Eorzea can be explored using virtual reality, however, there is a need to downgrade the graphics to be able to do this.
Another VR game based on the anime series Aquarion Evol is presently in development. This game will be playable during the TGS.
This anime series revolves around Amata Sora and two planets in war. People that have special powers can pilot robots in this game.
A few other games were mentioned in the show which includes Hatsune Miku, Tekken 7, Cyber Daganronpa, Summer Lesson, and The Playroom VR to name a few.
Currently, Sony has not confirmed its release date; however, they mentioned that the PlayStation VR will be released by 2016.
The PlayStation VR presented and tested at the show is a beta version. Sony has a lot of work to do before their release. Sony may be considered behind their completion the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, which have their release dates scheduled early this year.
Another big announcement made in the conference was the reduction of the price of the PlayStation 4 in Japan. This will now the approximately £190, the Wired reports.
