Microsoft Skype clients worldwide have recently experienced troubles using skype calls and messaging services. Some users said that they had difficulties in logging in to their accounts while the others were prevented from making online calls.

Group chats were not delivered in real time and all items on their contact list showed off line even if they were actually logged in.

Many Skype users shared their experiences on social media platforms or exchanged their frustrations between and among their contacts upon noticing such glitch over their skype. It is either they could not log in, their status seemed to change from time to time, they could not make calls or would even find it hard to send and receive messages.

The question 'What's wrong with my Skype?' has also been raised and discussed over the web -- making its rounds in social media.

The online telephone and video service confirmed on Monday, Sept. 21 that some users cannot really make calls because their settings show that they as well as their contacts are off line, even when they are logged in. Some users also experience another glitch by not being able to change their status; however, they can still make use of instant messaging and Skype for other Web services.

According to a CNet report, Skype also explained that they have detected 'an issue that affects Skype in a number of ways'.

"We're doing everything we can to fix this issue and hope to have another update for you soon. Thank you for your patience as we work to get this incident resolved," Skype posted its HeartBeat site.

Nevertheless, Skype assured its millions of users worldwide that the issue is being fixed. "We apologize for any convenience," the team said on Twitter.

Apparently, people around the globe who are generally dependent on Skype, be it for personal or professional use, seem to have no choice but to wait until this has been totally fixed. Everyone just hopes that it would be really soon.
