The multinational tech company Google has announced on Sept. 22 its newest Gmail services, the block and the unsubscribe buttons. These buttons will be available for Android in a week's time -- aiming to help users to get rid of unwanted mails. According to The Hindu, this is set to be launched first on the web.

Now users do not need to spend too much time on deleting messages rather than reading them. The unsubscribe feature will be available only on the Web, whereas the block feature will be accessed on both the Web and Android versions as reported by Cnet. These features will help users save lots of time and effort by not needing to delete messages manually. Once activated, it will do its job -- allowing the users block irritating senders in just a matter of two clicks.

The block feature will avoid messages from annoying people or companies that would not recognize the unsubscribe requests. It will prevent the user to receive any mails in the inbox as it also tends to block specific email addresses in Gmail. This is done by simply tapping the options buttons within that irritating email and selecting the 'Block' button. Then, all the blocked mails will go to the spam folder. Unblocking the ID can be done if the user changes his or her mind just by clicking 'Unblock' within the Gmail settings.

The unsubscribe option will send such request to be removed from the list. For example, if the users do not want any updates or promotions from certain websites or organizations, they can make use of the said unsubscribe option. It is really helpful to users who have previously subscribed to newsletters and promo ads but now have finally decided to stop receiving any from those groups and institutions. Initially, this feature will soon be available on Androids so it will be a lot easier to opt out of eligible mailing list directly from the app.

An undo option was introduced in June by Google. This option has allowed users to cancel any messages being sent to any specified email recipients within 30 seconds upon hitting the send button.
