On Sep. 28, Monday, Iraq's Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on a televised speech that his country's sharing of intelligence with Iran, Syria, and Russia as well as other countries is important so that the Islamic State rebels are defeated.
According to The Washington Post, this intelligence sharing ties can complicate the United States' efforts in combating the IS group because of Iraq's decision--- strengthening ties with the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, and his two main allies. The regional foes should be strengthened as well as they are battling the extremists.

Moscow has already been ramping up its support and involvement in Syria by protecting Assad through sending in troops, supplies, and high-technology weapons to the coastal city of Latakia, which is seen by the U.S. as preparations for setting up an airbase in the said place.
Iraq naturally welcomed Russia's current interest in combating against the IS group. Abadi said that his country established an intelligence cell that includes Syria and Iran as well as Russia to fight the Daesh. He also added that his country will continuously work closely with the U.S.-led coalition that has been bombing the extremists in Syria and Iraq in which this means that the world's intelligence efforts and ties must be strong and coordinated in order to fight, besiege and terminate the IS.
As stated by Gulf News Iraq, the Prime Minister's country had close ties for a long time and has coordinated with Tehran in fighting Daesh that has control over a third of Iraq and Syria in a self-declared caliphate. Iran, on the other hand, has sent military advisers to Iraq and closely worked with Shiite militias that battle Daesh.
Meanwhile, a U.S.-led coalition has been conducting airstrikes against Daesh in Syria and Iraq. Also, training and advising Iraqi forces are also being conducted. However, the U.S. still refuses to cooperate with Assad who is advised to step down for the sake of peace.
