Top Rank chief Bob Arum has vehemently denied recent reports that he signed a contract with Amir Khan's camp for a fight versus his top cash cow Manny Pacquiao. The alleged fight, scheduled for Las Vegas sometime in April next year, was supposed to be Pac-Man's final performance in the ring.

"I haven't sent a contract to him. We haven't sent anything to him," the 83-year-old boxing promoted angrily said, as reported by ESPN's Dan Rafael. "Don't you think I'm the promoter of the fight and I would know if I sent a contract? It's total (expletive). It's not true. This is (expletive) ridiculous. There is no deal. There is no contract. There has been no decision whatsoever."
A Nov. 3 story published by the Daily Mail Online said Khan already signed a deal to fight Pacquiao in Vegas on April 9, 2016. The story claimed that the 28-year-old Bolton native had "beaten off competitions from Terrence Crawford and Tim Bradley" for the Manny Pacquiao sweepstakes.
Rafael noted that the website is known for publishing "erroneous stories about Khan, Pacquiao, and Floyd Mayweather in recent years" and this recent report must be another one of those dubious write-ups.
"I'm sitting here trying to figure a way to sell tickets to my fight (Saturday in Las Vegas between Timothy Bradley and Brandon Rios) and now my phone is ringing off the hook because this lunatic made some (expletive) up," the legendary promoted said, as per Bleacher Report.
However, Arum admitted that the "final two candidates" for the Pacquiao fight actually includes Khan, who is under Mayweather's promoter Al Haymon, and Crawford, an up-and-coming fighter at Top Rank.
Arum added that he will meet with Pacquiao in the Philippines this December to help him decide between the two potential fights and no contract will be made until the eight-division champion gives his final choice between Crawford and Khan.
