(Photo : Reuters) Ruslan Provodnikov is claiming that his camp is negotiating with Amir Khan for a possible November 7 fight.
Former WBO junior welterweight champion Ruslan Provodnikov (24-4, 17 KOs) recently claimed that his camp is negotiating with current WBC Silver welterweight titlist Amir Khan (31-3, 19 KOs) for a potential fight in November amidst reports that the Briton is set to face ring legend "Sugar" Shane Mosley in Dubai on December 13.

It is certain that the 28-year-old Khan could not do both fights so close to each other so there must be one party who was not telling the truth.
"My team is taking care of the negotiations, I'm not really sure what's going on at the moment," Provodnikov said, as reported by SkySports. "I already came here for training camp a few days ago and I'm ready to fight anyone; whether it's him or somebody else I'm ready to fight."
"I would be ready to fight him in Dubai or here, my team knows the details, but the fight is supposed to be in America," the 31-year-old Russian added.
Boxing Scene indicated that a fight between the two boxers is actually being set to happen on November 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York under Showtime Sports, as revealed by the broadcast giant's executive vice president Stephen Espinoza.
"We love the fight. We think it's really an attractive, fun fight and it's a good fight for both guys," Espinoza said. "We're hoping that Khan will accept the fight. Provodnikov is all-in and ready to do it."
Espinoza admitted that this fight is not a sure one yet as they still have to get Khan to accept it. The Showtime exec scheduled a meeting with the Bolton native last weekend and there are still no reports on how it went through.
This means that Khan has not yet said "yes" to either the Mosley or Provodnikov camps on who he wants to face this last quarter of the year.
Meanwhile, a report from ESPN said that Khan's eyes are completely looking towards eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao next year.
"Nah, complete nonsense, mate," said Khan. "We going for Pacquiao. In talks."
The report also disclosed that the former WBA, WBA (Super) and IBF light welterweight champion intends to let the rest of the year pass before fighting Pacquiao in February or March 2016.
