Spectre, the twenty-fourth movie in the James Bond franchise, hits the Chinese box office, garnering $15 million (approximately RMB 9.5 million) on its first release, according to Forbes.

Spectre earned $790,000 dollars (RMB 5 million) during its advance screening.
Skyfall, the previous movie before Spectre, made its debut in China last February 2013. This occurred four months after its UK premiere. Skyfall topped the box office by earning $34 million (RMB 216 million) during the opening weekend.
Should the sales of Spectre be consistent, the gross earnings would be at par with Skyfall.
Spectre's earnings on the first release surpassed the previously aired movies, such as Walt Disney's Ant-Man, which only earned $12 million. (RMB 764 million)
An estimate of the steady sales will provide Spectre a closing income of $122 million (RMB 1 billion), but several factors can also make the estimate amount lesser than predicted.
Spectre generated mixed reviews, mostly negative ones. This can serve as a leverage on changing the estimated closing gross income to $80 million (RMB 500 million) as compared to $122 million.
Meanwhile, Spectre has good earnings in countries such as Russia and Mexico, comparing Skyfall's earnings two years ago. The movie reported did not make a mark in Germany and Italy.
United States did not want to be surpassed by China when it came to Spectre's gross earnings at the box office.
The suave agent, whose preferred drink is always vodka with martini, can toast to $90 million (RMB 573 million) in US box office sales as of Wednesday.
Spectre has yet to make its premiere on other countries such as France, Korea and Australia. 007 still has to make his arrival to Japanese theaters on December.
