Both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One have been going strong and doing well in the gamers' world for several years now since their first release. Despite the whooping sales they are making, the next generation of gaming consoles for both Sony and Microsoft are already underway.

According to Yibada, it is rumored that PlayStation 5 has been spreading like forest fire online for a while now; the news covers the new chipset and a possibility of an early release.

Two years ago, the PlayStation 4 was released despite the game still being wanted by millions of console gamers who did not get a chance to buy it. Now it seems that Sony is working on a new device, which might be released before the end of this decade.

NeuroGadget argued that every new generation of console lasts from five to seven years and it sits on the shelves another three to five years, but if the rumors are to be believed, the PlayStation 5 will replace its predecessor sooner than expected.

According to the rumors, not only Sony is planning to bring a new console, but Microsoft is also preparing another Xbox model by the end of this decade. These technologies will reach more and more houses in the near future, now that the market is adopting 4K video and virtual reality.

Also in the pipeline is the AMD, which is attempting to make an appeal to Microsoft and Sony for a new chipset of the next-generation kind, which can handle VR and 4k gaming. PS4 for now is using AMP APU that is based on a micro-architecture known as Jaguar. The micro-architecture allows the new family console migration to x86 architecture, which will enable backward compatibility with other old console version of games, Tech Times reported.

Sticking to AMD's hardware would mean a lot of benefits that include their customized chipset to enable the future-release PS5 to perform five times per watt than PS4 can handle for now. With this, the hood can allow PS5 to handle 4K graphics and VR by the time other technology become established in 2020.

It is up to Sony to decide the future of PS5 because these are just rumors, but it looks rather encouraging and possible.
