Motorola announced that the revamped Moto 360 Sport Android Wear smartwatch will be released in the United Kingdom and France this December. The smartwatch will, however, debut in the United States in January 2016.

Moto 360 Sport will be available in UK and France market on Dec. 18 and in the US on Jan. 7. The US release will be exclusive to online retailers and will be released in Best Buy retail outlets three days later. The smartwatch will cost $299, according to Engadget.

The new Sport variant is an upgraded version of the original Moto 360. The newer model sports a heart-rate monitor and sweat resistant band. The Moto 360 Sport also boasts the Moto Body app that allows users to track the total time they spend exercising in different target heart zones, according to ZDNet.

The Moto 350 Sport also makes use of the Moto Calls and AnyLight hybrid display.

Just like the display of the Sony Smartwatch 3, the Moto 360 Sport screen looks like a standard LCD screen when used indoors. However, the display reflects ambient light when used outdoors. This enables the device to make the display more readable without using additional battery power. This feature will allow the Moto 360 Sport to last for a full day on a single full charge.

On top of the new features, the new Sport model retains most of the standard features of the original Moto 360. The new smartwatch still supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection as well as the Android Wear platform.

The new Moto 360 Sports has 4GB worth of storage from Google Play Music which users can use to store their playlists and audio files.

The Moto 360 Sport will be available in three color variants; White, Flame Orange and Black.
