Transportation network company Uber is looking to make its services even simpler with its newest feature. Uber has released a new button that will allow iOS and Android app developers to add the "Uber Ride Request" button to their apps. The Uber Ride Request Software Developer Kits for both the Android and iOS platform is currently available to be download on Uber's GitHub page.

Uber's new feature will be very handy for many app developers as it offers new service options. For instance, if an app has a specific address like a restaurant, the new Uber button can be configured to enter that address as a destination every time the app is opened.

In order to take advantage of the new feature, app developers must first register their apps with the Uber Developer Dashboard. They then need to pick and install their chosen Software Developer Kit and configure their location as well as trip information.

Users can tap on the button and it will open the Uber app with the preconfigured location. For users who do not have the Uber app on their device, it will redirect them to the corresponding app store where they can download the Uber app.

By adding the Uber Ride Request button on their apps, developers can earn some incentive through the Uber Affiliate program. Developers will earn incentives every time their respective apps bring new riders to the Uber app.

According to Mashable, Uber will pay $5 for each new referred customer. In order to cash in the incentives, the money must be at least $250 and it has a maximum payout of $5,000.

According to Tech Crunch, the new Uber button has some restrictions. Uber will not allow developers to put the new Uber Ride Request button right next to links or buttons for rival or other car services. This restriction is clearly stated on Uber's API terms.
