The hit TV series "Vikings" from History Channel is well-acclaimed because of monumental changes that happen in each season, and the upcoming season four is no different. Travis Fimmel, who plays the main hero Ragnar Lothbrok, has been confirmed to be leaving the set to concentrate more on his impending Hollywood commitments. Despite this, the network has assured fans that the trailblaizing series will stand strong even after Ragnar leaves.

Although the TV series has revolved its story around the main character Ragnar, there are other interesting characters. Bjorn Ironside (played by Alexander Ludwig) who is Ragnar's son, has grown overtime and is now a stalwart warrior. According to rumors, he will likely take the place of his father in the upcoming season. Aside from him, there are also other characters such as Lagertha (played by Katheryn Winnick) and Aslaug (played by Alyssa Sutherland) who might turn out to be the prophesied next ruler of the Kattegat kingdom. Then there's also the possibility that it might be the turn of Rollo (played by Clive Standen) to rule.

History Channel has showed an official trailer for the Season 4 of the "Vikings." The trailer was first revealed in San Diego Comic-Con several months ago, and provides a peek into the upcoming season.

The trailer is described by many as mix of the present and the past, with inclusion of some Bible verses that were told by Athelstan (played by George Blagden). Those verses are said to reflect the lives of the characters and might provide a hint at what their future journey and life could bring.

"Vikings" will be returning in February 2016.
