Sterling held the team for 33 years before being ousted for good after making racist remarks. He was not mentioned in the event.

"We're looking forward," Ballmer stated in the rally. "Everything is about looking forward."

Ballmer's personality was completely different from Sterling's. The latter would never speak to media and was not willing to spend on the team during his time.

The new owner, who originally hailed from Seattle, announced his email address on the televised rally and assured the fans that the franchise will not go anywhere.

He also joined the Sacramento Kings sweepstakes as a part of a group who wanted to purchase the team last year. The NBA decided to keep the Sacramento Kings intact than to be sold and moved to Seattle.

Ballmer's voice occupied the whole arena with his well-known enthusiastic style. He was joined by Clippers head coach and president of basketball operations Doc Rivers with eight players including Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan.

He answered a few questions from the emails of season ticketholders. A fan for 26 years asked how different will the next 26 years be for the franchise. Ballmer confidently answered that the team will win more championships than it did in the last 26 years.

Rivers loved the energy Ballmer showed, saying that it did great for the fans. Dick Parsons, Interim CEO, attested that the coach will quit his job is Sterling remained as the owner come next season.

The night before the rally, Ballmer joined Rivers and some of the players for dinner.
