Sony officially announced the apocalyptic title "Day Z" isn't only going to the PC but to PlayStation 4, as well.

The company also confirmed that zombie MMO H1Z1 will be released on the PS4.

Since its announcement, H1Z1 has been surrounded by questions (Will it arrive at the PS4?) and when can PC gamers expect early access to the title. While the first question has been answered, the answer to the second remains unclear.

When technical director Tom Schenck was asked about early access the only answer he had was that Sony will release it only when it has an acceptable quality level that makes the game ready to go.

He added that Sony still has a list of things on the board and needs to go through the list before it arrives at a quality product.

Game designer Adam Clegg said their team holds a status meeting each week. There are things that get checked off but there also are things that don't because it's not yet ready.

One big unready is the zombie wearable that allows a zombie to put on a shirt the player is wearing. This makes zombies look different and the team wants to ensure its quality level.

Clegg said that until it gets checked off, they won't announce a date.

The Airdrop video was also released during SOE Live in Las Vegas. The clip shows three survivors close to an airdrop.

Each was eager to discover what's inside the box and tension immediately erupted when each survivor grabbed the box at the same time.

Blood was shed and axes wielded. SOE didn't give much information on the frequency of airdrops and what's inside, but it could be food, ammunition, water and other essential provisions.

SOE president John Smedley confirmed an early access release during the Game Talk Live.

The company may have released it a long time ago but held back, ensuring the game will be playable at the very core before a Steam Early Access. It will cost US$20.
