This is the unusual yet very inspiring story of a homeless guy. While the two supermodels, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner, were filming a commercial in Venice Beach, they stumbled into a hunky, homeless, 20-year old male skateboarder.

Originally, John Economou is a native of Milwaukee. He moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue his dreams and to try his luck in modeling.

In an interview, Economou said that it all started when he was just chilling on the beach, minding his own business, and then he saw people come over. These people (Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, actor Ansel Elgort, and Kendall's manager, Ashleah Gonzalez), whom he described all good looking and presentable, sat close to him but not close and started to have a picnic.

When he saw seagulls swarming around because they brought the food out, he started walking over to shoo them away. Then one of the girls, which is Kendall Jenner, said to him "you're so cute", so he turned and struck up a conversation. At first, he has no idea whom he was speaking with and suddenly it finally clicked who it was.

Economou had a conversation with them, and according to him, Kendall was cool and super down to earth. In the course of their conversation, Economou told them that he was also a model back home. He appeared in catalogs and local TV commercials since he was a baby. After Kendall heard it, she insisted to her manager that Economou should hook up with an agency.

So Economou exchanged number with Jenner's manager and soon signed under Two management, under the same person who started Jenner in modeling.

Economou now goes on audition for gigs but occasionally still sleeps on the beach with his friends. This is how Jenner and Hadid help John Economou to get a modeling career.

On the other hand, Economou does not like to be described as "homeless" but rather he prefers to call himself as an "adventurer."
