China Mobile has recently confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S7 will be released in March 2016. Samusung's new flagship device is expected to be announced by, late February 2016 at the Mobile World Congress and will hit shelves a month after.

Although this rumor has been going on for quite a while, China Mobile, China's leading carrier, seemed to have confirmed the S7's release date. According to International Business Times, during an end-of-year event, the company announced that Samsung Galaxy 7 will be available for sale come March 2016 and priced at $465. Some, however, speculated that it will be priced higher at $650 for the most basic model.

The outlet further reported that Samsung is determined to beat the competition by lowering their new smartphones by at least 10 percent. Given that their market share reportedly dropped 20 percent this year, the company is looking at ways on how to remain relevant. It was also said that the emergence of competitors from China did not help their case.

"Samsung is struggling to compete at the premium end of the market against the dominance of the iPhone and has seen a huge increase in competition from Chinese manufacturers in all other segments of the market," IBT reported.

Stuff speculated that Samsung will launch both Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge by early 2016. Both devices is set to carry the Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and feature a 3DTouch-like pressure sensitive screens. The outlet added that both phones may also have microSD slot, a feature definitely missed by Android users.
