The device is expected to come with a metallic exterior and rounded corners and is expected to house a finger print scanner which is embedded on the new physical home button. It is reported that the upcoming smart phone will support China's Cloud Lightening Pay feature.
This means that NFC will automatically be incorporated in the device to support the touch payment system. It is expected that the Mi5 will either sport a 5-inch screen or a 5.2 inch display along with 1080p screen resolution. It is also expected to house Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 along with a solid 4 GB of RAM.
The device is also rumored to sport a 16 mega pixel rear camera along with an 8 mega pixel front camera. Rumors also say that the device will come with a USB Type-C port. It is speculated that the phone will come with the Android Marshmallow operating system out of the box along with custom MIU.
It is rumored to be powered with a 3000 mAh battery capacity and also portray the 3D touch force technology. The device is expected to be available in silver, gold and rose gold colors.
It is highly speculated that Xiaomi will release the handset on Jan. 21, 2016. Its release has been delayed due to the non-availability of the Snapdragon 820 chipset. The device is expected to be priced at $385.
